Roundtable: How do we clean up Illinois politics?

Even after it was learned that Blagojevich was being investigated for federal offenses he was elected to a second term. The only way to clean up the corruption in Illinois is for the voters to take a more active role in learning about the candidates; not just the candidates for governor, but everyone on the ballot. Forget personalities, parties or expected favors. Partisan politics has failed us. Be more aware of what is going on before we vote. The Tea Party, 9-12 Project and Constitution Parties are far more objective than most media outlets but don’t rely on any of them exclusively either. Keep an inquisitive mind, demand openness, honesty and accountability and communicate your expectations to your elected officials. As long as the voters regard corruption as normal and only act shocked after the latest scandal is uncovered, we will continue to get the kind of government we deserve. Harry Bulkeley Every time public corruption in Illinois is demonstrated again, sitting politicians deliver streams of high-minded platitudes which ring hollow in the face of reality. Although considering the unsavory way business is done in Springfield, cleaning up Illinois politics sounds like one of the labors of Hercules, learning from states with demonstrably high ethical standards would be a good beginning.   A commission should be established consisting of people representing all regions of the state, not more than 10 percent of whom can ever have held any public office.

Have you ever wanted to dress up your little dog friend and make him just the cutest thing the world has ever seen? Have you ever taken the time to wonder what your dog would look like if you had spiced up it’s day with looking a little more fresh? I know I’m not the only one who has taken the time to try and see what my dog would look like if it was a modern day dog batman, or how about a dog spiderman? How do you design your dog’s clothes around the house with using some old, modern, or just clothing material you can’t seem to use elsewhere?

First up, you need to figure out how much you want to add to your dog’s daily fashion trend. Do you want to spice it up with going all out everyday, which might be a little bit more time consuming, or would you like to just add a little salt? All of these factors come into a huge play when your trying to figure out what’s best for your dog. We’ll start from the most simplest of trends, and then go from there. If your a male reader, take the time to go find one of your older baseball caps, cut some ear holes, and fashion your dog with the hat. Ladies, you can do the same thing, but make it more of a cutesy cap for those female dogs.

From there, we’re gonna work on the upper body. Here is where those old clothes, or the clothes your never going to wear ever again come into play. If your shirt is too large, I like to take a rubber measuring tape, and measure my dog’s upper body width from the shoulders, and then the same from the back legs. If you don’t want to use a shirt, you can use old blue jean material for jackets, leather, anything you can find, but please make sure you take into account the dog’s health. Write down your measurements, so that you can get the perfect fitting upper body pieces and lower body pieces. If your dog can fit in the clothing without any adjustments, then go onto the lower body. Here is where you can use some lightweight material for a skirt for the female dogs, and usually the male dogs don’t like anything down there, but it’s up to you to find something that would fit the upper body trend your setting.
